About the Charities supported by the
Charlotte Comedy Night
Camp CARE
The mission of Camp CARE (Cancer Ain’t Really the End) is to provide a one week summer camp, as well as year around activities, for children (ages 3-17) in the Charlotte-Metrolina area who have or have had cancer.
Camp CARE was founded in 1985 by a group of health-care professionals. From its inception, Camp CARE has been staffed entirely by volunteers, and funded solely by donations. The philosophy of Camp CARE from the beginning has been that a child with cancer is, first of all, a child. A child, like all children needs laughter, friends, and fresh air. These are the very things that Camp CARE can and does provide.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
The mission of the JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Diabetes is a chronic, debilitating disease affecting every organ system. Type 1 (Juvenile) diabetes strikes children suddenly, making them dependent on injected or pumped insulin for life and it carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Your contributions will help JDRF find a cure for this terrible disease.
The Smith Family extends our sincere gratitude and appreciation to these people for their generous contributions. |
